The organizers of the 1st Swiss Chinese Career Symposium in Basel aimed to bring job hunters and companies together to the first joint event, so that they could establish the first contact on the spot and exchange mutual interests. Their efforts have paid off. We were the last company to leave the event, even on the way to my hotel, students followed me and talked with me. Overall, the quality of the students was very high and the organization was outstanding!

Thanks on what has been a very well prepared and executed seminar for highly qualified Chinese talents. Looking at some of their target position ambitions it would be great to imagine that this event helped inspire some of these ttendees to now look closely at opportunities at Novartis. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped to make this day a success.

The verdicts of the organizers, companies and students on the first event are extremely positive. Interesting employers and partners on the one hand, as well as motivated and dedicated students and graduates on the other, led to highly efficient personal contacts, a pleasant and open atmosphere and finally a successful event. All sides are looking forward to a 2nd Swiss Chinese Career Symposium.

I came to the event without specific expectations and I was really surprised: there were incredibly interesting encounters, very well prepared candidates who have investigated the companies beforehand in great depth and ask very precise questions on the spot. What was interesting was the diverse background of the applicants: not just from the life science area, but also from the engineering and commercial areas.

Yes, it is definitely interesting for us, especially the questions that the students asked us. It is exciting for us to know how we are perceived from the outside. How can we recognize talents? In all cases, from their thirst for knowledge, their eagerness to learn and the willingness to invest in themselves. That is the point. Thinking innovatively is extremely important. "Thinking out of the box," if I hear that from a candidate, then he or she is the right one.
